Metallurgical Fire Not to take anything away from the drummer on the last two albums, he’s great. This, however, is my favorite technical death metal album, and it’s mostly the drumming that puts it over the top. It’s brutal, technical, and the drum sound is right where it needs to be. I often have issues with drumming in brutal and tech death releases, and this hit my ears as perfection from the first track. Perfection. Favorite track: Skeletons Of Steel, Timber And Blackened Granite.

Pork-Chop Express Every time I listen, I hear something new and interesting, something that makes me fucking dig it even more.

Fuck my neck hurts! Favorite track: The Raven And The Crow.

about

The brainchild of left handed lead guitarist and founding member Eric Hersemann, GIGAN has been challenging the mortal laws of extreme music and creativity since early 2006. Forged around the simple notion that the imagination should be art's only limit, GIGAN's style of creative delivery has simultaneously invoked reactions of amazement, disbelief, shock, awe and ultimately- respect. Featuring the same boundary-pushing extremity but also some new elements, instruments and approaches to delivery, "Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes" will surprise and delight both new and original GIGAN devotees...and the legacy continues...
